Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist
Salary - £60-70k + Generous Package
Location - London (Remote working available)
I'm currently working with one of the most technologically advanced and innovative Telecommunications companies globally who are looking to add an experienced Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist to their internal Cyber Security department as they enter an exciting period of growth.
This Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist will be expected to research into the latest and most complex cyber threats, hunt for previously unknown/undetected vulnerabilities and dissect malicious code. You will act as the technical bridge between the CTI team and wider Cyber Defence practice, presenting findings and actionable intelligence to stakeholders across the business to improve current detection and response methodologies.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Cyber Threat Intelligence Specialist to work directly alongside the Head of CTI in developing a best in CTI capability. You will be afforded freedom to research into the threats and encouraged to interact and collaborate with other industry experts in knowledge sharing groups and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform open source intelligence gathering and analysis, identifying indications of cyber threats, malicious code and other vulnerabilities.
- Perform advanced investigations into potential security incidents, including cyber forensic investigations, malware analysis and other cyber incident response activities.
- Produce reports on industry/company relevant cyber threats, attacks and incidents.
- Engage with cyber threat intelligence vendors, partners, forums, agencies and peer companies, serving as the Cyber Threat Intelligence SME representing the company.
Key Skills & Requirements
- Experience analysing malware, hacking tools and threat actor techniques and procedures in order to characterise threat actors' technical methods for accomplishing their aims.
- Experience developing and maintaining threat intelligence, reviewing information to determine its significance, validating its accuracy and assessing its reliability.
- Strong knowledge of industry recognised frameworks - Cyber Kill-Chain, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, Diamond Method, etc.
