Your new company
Working in partnership with universities, charities and businesses, we are an established research institute with operations across the world. We work tirelessly to ensure innovation can flourish. As an organisation, we are always looking to develop and expand. This an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly VMWare and Network (HP main switches) literate person to join a well-established IT team for one of our IT departments. We require an interim to oversee and lead remapping our Network and producing accompanying documentation, whilst managing and executing a 2-week outage at the Christmas break.

Your new role
You will work within the infrastructure team and be accountable for all VMware and Network (HP switches) activities, configuring, troubleshooting and implementing solutions where required. You will need to demonstrate excellent troubleshooting skills to investigate, diagnose, and rectify issues relating to Infrastructure Services, articulating how the application of IT technology impacts the organisation, business objectives and its processes.

What you'll need to succeed

Your extensive background in VMware and Network and using it on a daily basis will lead to your success. You will be able to support IT to an advanced level and be accustomed to working within a diverse and changing environment. Alignment with ITIL and an approach of continually improving will help you greatly in your role as you undertake this project.
