Your new company
We are a leading national utility company and provider of energy to many residences across the UK. Currently, Infrastructure and Provider Management (IPM) are in the middle of transitioning to become responsible for providing IT services to every company within our group, up to 20,000 users. Right now, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to assist in expanding the Pen testing service that will be available to all our operating companies.
Your new role
You will sit within the IT Security Operations team and be responsible for Operational Security. The purpose of this role is to provide the business and IT areas with an effective IT security service within the operational environment and act as Penetration Testing Co-ordinator and Process/Service expert. You will resolve problems independently with a strong understanding of the the escalation procedure using your advanced knowledge of Firewalls and Network Security whilst keeping up to date with current threat intelligence.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have strong experience in Process and Service Design for IT Security Operational Services, particularly Penetration Testing. You will have experience of Vulnerability Management and/or Penetration Testing processes and remediation of vulnerabilities/penetration testing findings in a timely manner. You will possess a good understanding of vulnerability frameworks and advisories (NVD , CVE) with strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for vulnerability management and penetration testing. Experience of CIS Benchmarks Policies, knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policies, knowledge of OWASP and attack vectors particularly MITRE Attack Framework will lead to your success in this role.
