Role

We're looking for an experienced Head of IT Operations to lead, drive and manage the implementation of an exemplary internal and external customer experience across TPR's IT Operational services. Reporting to the Director of IT and responsible for a team of 20+ you will be responsible for establishing an IT operations delivery model that enables TPR regulatory activities through an agile, secure and cost-effective IT platform, advocating continuous improvement in Operations, DevOps and Services methodologies, processes and standards.

Responsibilities

You will:
  • Define and deliver the IT Operations roadmap (3-year strategy) for IT technology services ensuring activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Be responsible for the direction and coordination of IT Operations and Services including BAU Production services, DevOps Platform Capabilities and Service Management.
  • Provide a cohesive end to end design for IT operations and services, and an efficient IT operating model that must be integrated across TPR ensuring outstanding service, availability, security, cyber and recovery mechanisms
    • Build, lead, inspire, manage and develop IT Operations, DevOps and IT Services teams, to ensure optimal IT operations and a focused unified viewpoint of IT services to our stakeholders
    • Have operational accountability and responsibility across multiple operational domains: IT Services, DevOps Platform, Networks and Telephony, and Cloud Services (Azure - IaaS, PaaS and SaaS).

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience as a Head of IT Operations in an IT department with experience of managing IT Operations, Service, Business Relationships and DevOps processes.
  • Strong and deep technical IT knowledge to be able to work closely with technical teams in Service, DevOps and IT Operations.
  • IT qualified (BSc or equivalent experience desired) and demonstrable success in applying IT disciplines
    • IT operations, services and DevOps platforms and a proven ability to set the direction and translate strategic priorities into clear outcome-focused objectives for managers and teams in a demanding leadership role.
  • The ability to work across functions and teams at all levels and to foster momentum and cohesion around common goals with key stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of technical principals, best practice and drive to implement exemplary IT operations, service and DevOps solutions
