An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly experienced and driven Finance Director to join a global PE backed services organisation. The role will be responsible for the full day to day management of the finance function, finance team and customer accounts. You will be the strategic business partner working closely with the UK CEO, board and local level management team on the strategic development of the business with a brief to develop strong profits through organic growth and close cost control.

As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting information for the business and stakeholders to allow effective decisions to be made in line with the business plan and objectives.
  • Maintain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problems
  • In conjunction with the CEO, prepare and manage budgeting templates including budgets, forecasts and inputs into the annual business plan
  • Develop standard operating procedures and best practices, including written policies and procedures and guidance for all reporting and financial accounting processes.
  • Communicate with all stakeholders regarding financial reporting including stakeholder engagement regarding usability and future development.
  • Complete all statutory and compliance reporting accurately and on time.
  • Analyse performance and risks and make forecasts
  • Prepare the Board report accurately and on time for review and final input by the CEO

To be successful for this assignment you will ideally be fully ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with at least 10 years post qualified experience, it is also essential that you have:

  • Proven experience as director of finance or similar role in the UK
  • Experience developing preparing monthly reporting, statutory accounts
  • Experience with Accounting Standards and application to business situations
  • Demonstrated experience working within high growth, national multi-site organisations
  • Experience leading and implementing operational efficiencies aligned to business goals
  • Track record in developing and driving systems and processes improvements
  • Experience in managing small teams, including motivating and training staff to achieve business objectives
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
  • Experience working and reporting within a highly regulated sector
  • Experience working in Private Equity
