This organisation is well-established within the local area and its professional industry and they are looking to increase the headcount in their IT Security team to maintain performance and efficiency across the security remit.

As an Information Security Analyst you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of the organisations Information Security Management System and the Security Information and Event Management system too. You role will require you to be the first response to any cyber security threats or issues meaning you will be involved in; vulnerability management, security incident management, awareness for users, assessment & mitigation, penetration testing and security related compliance activities.
Your role will also require you to supply assistance and training for users across the organisation who may not be up to speed with the latest measures and practices. As well as this, you will be involved in any projects that need to incorporate IT security whilst pioneering projects of your own along the way.

To be successful in this role you should have;
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • A knowledge of information security standards, guidelines, processes and governance policies.
  • Experience working with; scripting, penetration testing, threat management, scanning, email security, mobile security, operating servers (Windows & Linux), endpoint security, incident management, ISMS and SIEM.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and explain technical issues to non-technically minded users
  • A passion for IT Security and a commitment to keeping up to date with the latest news, trends and technologies.
  • Excellent organisation, documentation, time-management and analysing skills.
  • A good understanding of legal frameworks relating to IT & cyber security.
