Job Description
Leading international Asset Manager is looking for a permanent Head of Risk for their Luxembourg office. Sitting in the second line of defence, this role will report directly into the General Manager and will have people management responsibility of one other team member.
The Role:

• As Conducting Officer for Risk, you will be responsible for managing Financial Risk Management for the Luxembourg office, with some operational risk responsibilities; please note that the core focus of the role will be financial risk.
• Lead of UCITS/AIF's Financial Risk Monitoring and Reporting.
• Manage CSSF (Semi- Annual UCITS report); Manage the CBI - Central Bank of Ireland for Irish Domiciled Funds.
• Provide coverage and leadership for market, counterparty, liquidity, and credit risk.
• While working closely with the local team, you will also frequently collaborate with the international risk teams.
• Act as subject matter expert for all risk management matters for the Luxembourg office.

The Ideal Candidate:

• My client covers both UCITS and AIF's funds; however, the preference is that the candidate have strong UCITS experience as that will be the focus.
• Candidate must have proven financial risk management experience, minimum eight years of financial risk management.
• My client is looking for candidates who are proactive and hands-on; eager to get involved in multiple projects and be interested in rolling-up their sleeves; as its a small team, its important that the Conducting Officer for risk is a natural team player.
• Good Academic record in finance or mathematics, graduate or post graduate.
• Proven in-depth understanding of financial risk management tools.
• Good knowledge of UCITS and AIFM Regulation and local Luxembourg regulatory environment.
• CFA, FRM would be desirable but not essential.
