Job Description
Our client is a leading broker who have an established presence in Frankfurt am Main. They are seeking a Head of Risk to lead the function with a focus on non-financial risks, regulatory reporting and to have ownership of local regulatory relationships, particularly with BaFin.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the entity's second line of defence risk management function
• Take ownership of the relationship with local regulators
• Develop, implement and maintain entity-wide risk management policies and procedures in line with German regulatory requirements
• Lead the assessment and ongoing review of the entity's risk profile and appetite in contribution to that of the region and group
• Produce the entity's ICAAP
• Work closely with the senior management across the business and develop and promote a pro-active and positive risk-aware culture

Requirements:

• Significant experience of managing non-financial risks including policy and framework development
• Strong knowledge of the German regulatory environment including WpHG, KWG, MIFID II & MaRisk
• Fluent German language skills are required
