Your new company
This exciting new remote contract opportunity is with a large public sector client, based in Glasgow. This organisation is undergoing significant digital transformation and is looking for a Azure Security Engineer to join one of its teams and aid in a critical project. This contract is initially for 6 months with a rate of £530 per day (outside of IR35).

Your new role
This opportunity requires an experience Cloud Security Engineer to work in the Cyber Security team to further enhance the development and implementation of cloud security controls across our estate. The Cloud Security Engineer will have extensive working experience of development and implementation of enhanced security controls on all aspects of Microsoft's cloud services, including O365, Azure Defender, Microsoft Cloud App Security, Azure Security Centre etc

What you'll need to succeed
You will have significant experience of working within a technical cloud security role within a leading Cloud Service provider solution. You will work closely across the organisation and its partners Cyber Security and Operations teams to provide SME input into the Cloud Security solutions and look to implement where possible automation and streamlined processes.

You will have a Cloud Security Certification or equivalent industry certification to demonstrate cloud security awareness (Eg Azure DevOps Engineer). Demonstrable experience of administration of Cloud Security Tools. Experience of on boarding applications to Cloud based security monitoring tools and significant hands on experience in most of these areas:

• Distributed systems/cloud computing security
• Data Loss Prevention
• Protocols and network security
• Cryptography services
• Data and application security
• User and data privacy
• Security assurance
• Cloud Assess Security Broker
• Scripting / programming and working with API's
