Network Engineer (SharePoint)

Full Time / 4-6 Month Contract Starting February 2021

A secondary school just outside Halifax region is looking to recruit a Network Engineer on a contract basis.Take the lead to complete a SharePoint Migration, review Online Security and Teams/O365 installation whilst overseeing a small team of technicians.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the overseeing the running of the school's IT Network including installation of New software, Network queries, IT troubleshooting and IT security whilst maintaining the entire school network system capability. You will be leading on a number of important/critical projects; the migration of legacy data and systems on to cloud/share point, the completion of the roll out of Office 365 to all staff, updating of IT security and planning of a future maintenance strategy. A structured organised approach is critical to succeed in this role.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed you will be experienced in all areas of SharePoint, specifically the migrating of data and setting permissions and communicating to non tech users. You will have ideally had experience leading a small team, comfortable owning full responsibility of the schools IT Network, support/desktop, IT system security, install/manage software as well as an ability to troubleshooting issues efficiently. You will need strong communication skills to ensure all colleagues are working together and can use the new systems. A structured organised approach is critical to succeed in this role.
