Prestigious opportunity with a leading Global Law firm for an IT/Information Security Analyst to join a growing team, dedicated to technical security governance.

Your new role

As one of our IT/Information Security Analysts you will be responsible for:-

• Working within the Information Security team, providing governance and oversight of the IT security risk and control environment
• Translating the IT risk requirements into technical control requirements and specifications
• Developing metrics for ongoing performance measurement and reporting
• Assessing IT and IT security risk, identifying opportunities to reduce risk and facilitate the remediation of identified vulnerabilities
• Providing security governance for change activity, projects and for merger and acquisitions
• Performing security assessments of third-party vendors and service providers
• Consulting with IT and Security teams to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation, selection, installation and configuration of hardware, applications and software

What you'll need to succeed

The successful IT/Information Security Analyst will possess a combination of some of the following skills:-

• Experience in information or IT security experience and a good working knowledge of Microsoft security
• CISSP, CISM, CISA or other qualifications are advantageous but not essential
• Knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles
• Awareness of one or more framework, such as ISO 2700x, CIS and ITIL, NIST or COBIT is desirable
• Proficiency in performing risk, business impact, control and vulnerability assessments, and in defining treatment strategies
• Strong analytical skills to analyse security requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls.
