Your new role
The Network Engineer builds, administers, supports, develops, and maintains simple and complex integrated networking solutions as directed and according to departmental policy working:

  • in a team of network and infrastructure engineers and other specialists ensuring services are integrated, secure, delivered and operated as required
  • with and supporting IT colleagues and third parties in providing network and infrastructure services
  • with technical architects to translate architectural designs into operations
  • with a holistic approach supporting other technical areas outside of the networking specialism
  • to provide input into overall management - workforce, budget, capacity, technology roadmaps, projects and tasks.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Network Engineer or equivalent role.
  • Design, deployment, commissioning, supporting, developing, and decommissioning of a range of networking solutions and services.
  • Exposure to and support of Fortinet or other security fabric.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to clearly explain a concept, theory or approach.
  • Ability to travel between sites for work purposes sometimes at very short or no notice.
  • Participate in an on-call rota performing out of hours support activity or delivery of updates, patches, upgrades, or new IT systems outside of office hours as dictated by the business.
