Senior Security Engineer (Cloud & AppSec) - £75k
London based tech company is currently recruiting for a Senior Security Engineer. This tech company has been recognised as one of UK’s most successful disrupter organisations and is continuing its growth by expanding its Security team
- The Senior Security Engineer role will require significant commercial experience in driving change in the SDLC and acting as a SME / Lead on App Sec & Cloud security issues
- The Senior Security Engineer will be working with AWS Cloud Infrastructure, embedding security not the SDLC, performing risk assessments, security reviews, threat modelling and incident monitoring
- This role will require someone to work closely with external and internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate security risks
- This role will report directly into the CISO
- I am ideally looking to speak to candidates with
- Advanced knowledge of the OWASP initiatives, advanced coding skills, experience in implementing SAST and/or DAST within a CI/CD environment, Security & SIEM tools along with some programming, scripting or coding skills

- Join a greenfield security environment
- Provide aspirational leadership as an Application Security & Cloud Security expert to a small, growing team
- Work with but not restricted to working with AWS, SIEM Tools, PHP, Python, JavaScript, Golang, OWASP, Security in SDLC, CI/CD, REST API’s, SAST, Agile methodologies etc
- Work on automation, codifying & building security into the architecture of the tech organisation. This will involve excellent experience of application security in a Cloud environment in any industry (broad industry experience is preferred) and strong communication skills to help educate the entire tech team on why security being built into their processes matters and the most effective ways to make the relevant changes
- Represent security at the architecture guild; this will require gravitas & strong influencing skills
