Job Description
This well established bank is seeking an experienced IT Security Architect to join its Architecture team. The role will report to the Group CTO.

This is a newly created role, the first Security Architect for the bank in London, and this will be a hands on role focused on contribution to and review of technical designs as the technical design authority. The role has a broad scope and will require you to draw on your deep and wide technical security experience to advise of practical ways to secure systems from the physical to the application layer.

The bank is currently evolving its cloud (Azure) and Office 365 capabilities globally, and you will play a central role in supporting this.

The ideal candidate will be a hands on Security Architect with experience of authoring technical documentation such as strategy papers, HLDs and requirements documents. Ideally you will have knowledge of some of the following: Azure, Active Directory, ADFS, Conditional Access and RBAC concepts. Knowledge of technical concepts such as multi-site networking, load balancing, proxies, application firewalling and authentication protocols such as oAuth would be beneficial.

Previous banking experience is not required and this could be an excellent opportunity for someone to move from the commercial sector into FS. Interim candidates looking to move into a permanent role due to IR35 will be considered if they have decent length of tenure in their projects.

Due to Covid restrictions, the bank's employees are currently working from home. However, post Covid, you will be expected to work in the London office during the week mixed with some home working. This role cannot be offered remotely and unfortunately visa sponsorship is not available at this time.
