What you'll need to succeed

My client, a Public Sector Emergency Organisation with HQ in London, is looking for an Interim Head of Cyber Security to join the organisation as an urgent appointment.

The initial engagement will be expected to last 6 months, the role is currently based remotely due to Covid but in future, travel to the London HQ will be required posy pandemic.

The successful candidate will have experience across Cyber Security environments in Public Sector environments. It is beneficial to understand and have experience in implementing Cyber policies and strategies in the Public Sector, therefore being best placed ensuring the technical Cyber environment is managed successfully and securely in the interim.

The successful candidate will have the below skills and knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of Cyber Security technologies and standards (including accreditation, policies etc.
• Ability to articulate cyber security and technical issues in a clear and actionable manner to non-technical leadership
• A strategic thinker with a strong hands-on approach, capable of designing, building, and operating security programs in a fast-paced environment
• Accountable for preventing cyber-attacks and leakage of sensitive information
• Accountable for effective response to security incidents
• Experience with Intrusion and Penetration Testing Toolkits
• Experience with modern PaaS/SaaS-based IAM and SSO providers and protocols preferred (ex: AzureAD, Okta, Duo, SAML, etc.)
• Excellent experience with cybersecurity frameworks, such as SANS/NIST, ISO 27000, CIS
  
  

Qualifications desired:

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)

All interviews will be conducted remotely due to Covid.
