Due to their ongoing success, one of the UK’s largest independent Cyber Security service companies are planning to add an accomplished Cyber Security Consultant to their team of Security professionals. This is a perfect time to join a company at the start of its latest expansion. The position offers you career progression and ongoing training / development aimed at achieving relevant accreditations.
The Role of the Cyber Security Consultant:
The role would suit a rounded Consultant with not only a solid understanding of the industry standards, but also a strong technical knowledge. This is very much a client facing role and as such you’ll need great communication skills and possess the ability to communicate technical issue to technical and non-technical clients alike. You’ll be inquisitive, have a considered but self-assured approach and a broad knowledge of the Cyber Security Landscape so you can assess a client’s existing security posture.
You’ll take a holistic view of their business and identify areas where their security falls short, identify any vulnerabilities, advise on areas of security investment, and propose complete solutions to take their security from where it is to where it needs to be.
When required you’ll have the opportunity and be expected to help a company develop and implement their cyber security road map.
The role is an opportunity for you to be exposed to the full project lifecycle from initial assessment through to implementation. You’ll get to work with multiple clients and enjoy the diversity of working across a range of industries.
Some of the Skills Required for a Cyber Security Consultant:
The role is currently remote; however, office visits will be required from time to time when restrictions are lifted.

Some of the Skills Required for a Cyber Security Consultant:
- Strong Technical knowledge.
- Knowledge of information security frameworks and standards such as the ISO 27001 and NIST
- Good domain knowledge
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP and or custom platforms)
- CISSP, CISM, TOGAF or GIAC are highly desirable
- Experience with IAM and Endpoint Detection and Response
- Experience with firewalls, web filtering, DLP, email security and web security
