Job Description
One of the UK's most interesting insurance firms are looking for a senior privacy specialist to work alongside the new DPO in building out the firms privacy capabilities.
• Establish a robust DP compliance framework to ensure that the requisite controls operate effectively
• Oversee the creation of DP Risk and Control Assessments and Record of Processing Activity across the group to improve DP compliance
• Collaborate with other departments to implement and embed DP Risk and Control assessments
• Providing advice and progress reports to all relevant stakeholders
• Perform in-depth analysis of DP issues, undertake root cause analysis and propose actions to improve performance
• Identify and suggest possible mitigations to key DP risks
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and laws relating to DP and risk assessments
• Drive a culture of compliance, including compliance with DP, throughout the group
• Work with support functions and business stakeholders including Directors, Senior Management and Client Company Boards
• Define guidance, standards and processes that support the above requirements
• Effect successful change in ensuring controls and guidance are cascaded and effective
• Devise a mechanism for continuous improvement to evolve process
• Extensive experience in in data protection, data management/control and data quality/standards
• The ability to manage and influence complex stakeholders and partnering relationships
• Technically very strong with an ability to communicate and present data protection requirements in an easily digestible form to key stakeholders including internal board level
• Good interpersonal abilities with strong gravitas and ambassadorial skills with an ability to influence
• Proven analytical and systematic thinking skills
• Proven track record in driving improvement in organisational competence in a DP capacity
