In recent months we’ve come to appreciate the role the NHS and Emergency Services play in our lives more than ever. In the business community my client performs a comparable service, safeguarding against online threats that could otherwise cripple industries.

We’re looking for a Senior React Engineer to join them at a time of exponential growth after significant investment. You’ll have the option to work fully remote or can be a hybrid worker visiting their head office in Basingstoke.

Your new role
You’ll join a small but very highly skilled team of Developers where every project is a mission critical one to the client. It’s a tech-first business so you’ll have always be working with the latest toolset in a cloud environment, and where Machine Learning is central to everything they do.

The team has won multiple awards already and supply predominantly into areas classified as Critical Infrastructure, so have experienced a surge in demand during Covid rather than constricting.

Your role will be focused on delivering the best version of the platform that is possible, and future-proofing it using the latest React techniques. There are existing partnerships with outside agencies, so in-depth design skills have become a secondary requirement though always welcomed.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ experience working with React and 8+ in web Development, preferably working on complex, enterprise level systems.

Beyond this you should be comfortable with some of the following tools; Redux, Sagas, GraphQL JavaScript, SASS and REST API’s and any experience in Python will help in discussions with the back end team.

Working with other developers to implement services in environments where Docker, Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform are present is preferable.
