Security Consultant - London

Up to £60k Subject to Experience

Pension – Healthcare – Life Assurance and More

We have an opportunity with a Global Consultancy who are growing their UK practice with concentrated investment into the Consulting team. This is a chance to be a visible member of a Consultancy at the start of a period of significant growth and investment. You’ll get to work directly under Senior Consultants and benefit from their years of experience in Security and Technology consulting. There’s potential for international projects across a range of industries.

This is a career progressing role, a chance to own the role of Security Consultant. The role will suit someone with an excellent grasp of the industry frameworks and a broad knowledge of the Cyber Security landscape. Not only will you act as a security consultant working across a range of industries, but you’ll also get to advise on the broader IT challenges that clients are facing in this rapidly changing landscape. This is a rare opportunity to broaden your consulting horizons and experience as much variety as possible at the perfect stage of your professional development.

You’ll attend customer sites, often working in client facing roles and as such you’ll be a great communicator.  You’ll be scoping and delivering audits against the relevant frameworks, carrying out risk assessment to identify areas where their security potentially falls short and expose potential vulnerabilities. You’ll have a pragmatic and self-assured approach and the confidence to express your opinion and back your decisions.

Some of the Skills Required by the Security Consultant:

  • Good knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as the ISO 27001 and NIS Directive and PCI DSS, etc
  • Experience conducting audits / security risk assessments, advising on risk, and identify potential vulnerabilities.
  • A broader understanding of IT such as disaster recovery and operational resilience – highly desirable.

This is a hybrid role and will be split between site visits, remote work and visiting the London office.
