Security Engineer - Fintech Startup - REMOTE / Homebased, Europe Wide, £120k / €140k package

I'm a security specialist recruiter, tasked with finding a strong and highly technical security engineer, for a very exciting company in Europe. Due to the nature of the role and the business, this progressive company are considering applications from the UK and Europe, where you'll be able to work remotely almost all the time, with maybe a few "holiday" trips to the office for events and Christmas.

They're looking for a strong application heavy security engineer with experience and ability of API security in a financial services context. The role, reporting directly into the CISO would suit someone from a cloud / development / DevSecOps background, who can understand the details of the vulnerabilities that exist in different app and API architecture models, and able to advise how best to mitigate in build practise, and perhaps demo and produce POC for developers on how to avoid them moving forward.

You'll perhaps have some Python, as a minimum, but we'd also love to see Golang, Postgres, Experience with Cloud Computing, and security, (k8s, Docker, AWS Google) and a deep technical knowledge in Web/API security, and perhaps some idea of the SDLC. We'd LOVE to see some abilitiy and interest in penetration techniques and perhaps the tech skills required to reproduce POC on known vulns.

We're really keen to see a 'hacky-mindset'. By that I'm not talking about being purely attack led, but I am talking about the kind of solutions oriented brain that can make a working security feature from some sawdust and paperclip. The CISO (and therefore the Strategy) is built on an attack-minded background too, so we'd love to talk to excited and passionate people with something to tell us.

The role can be fully remote (with perhaps) a few trips to the company's office in the EU per year. They're very new, and they're already worth a VAST SUM. Part of this package is some extremely valuable shares, aside a brilliant basic consistent with the skills. Overall about £120k or €140k
