Summary of Role:
Portsmouth Office Quality Manager with main functions of:
• Implementation of new policies and procedures for increased operational scope
• Management of Portsmouth Office Integrated Management System (IMS) policies and procedures
• Auditing of Portsmouth Office IMS
• Reporting to RUK and Raytheon Anschutz Quality Assurance

Main Duties:
1. Responsible for ensuring processes at Portsmouth Office are documented and monitored including managing and audit plan and performing internal Audits.
2. Responsible for ensuring standards of policies, procedures and practices at Portsmouth Office are in line Raytheon Anschutz expectations and standards.
3. Maintain ISO 9001 certification for the Portsmouth Office.
4. Planning and definition of cross-sectional quality assurance measures for all phases of projects.
5. Participation in customer system test and inspection planning
6. Planning and definition of quality assurance measures when commissioning service providers and subcontractors
7. Planning and execution of gate audits of the Engineering Process
8. Monitoring of the phases of product development (by accompanying reviews with influence on all planned quality assurance measures)
9. Execution of process and supplier audits; Initiation of corrective and preventive measures.
10. Extension and finalization of the test specifications created by Engineering with the non-technical part for projects / programs and support of factory tests and customer approvals
11. Expansion of supplier and requirements management to specify quality assurance measures for complex supplier services as well as their acceptance and follow-up of remaining points to support the Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) process
12. Conducting annual Quality Management Review and Reporting Quality Management status to the Portsmouth Office General Manager, Raytheon Anschutz and Raytheon UK Quality Managers

Candidate Requirements:

Essential:
• Masters Degree in mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, industrial engineering or business information.
• Expert knowledge in quality management techniques.
• Expert knowledge in the life cycles of hardware and software development
• The candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills and have the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in order to provide the highest level of timely service to our customers
• Strong communication (oral and written) and presentation skills in both German and English language with the ability to interface with all levels of the workforce.
• Must have or be able to get Security Clearance from the UK Defence Vetting Agency.

Desirable:
• Quality Management experience directly related to the defence maritime industry and specifically Integrated Navigation and Bridge Systems.
