Your new role
As a network engineer, you will perform an audit on all Cisco network and Meraki WIFI equipment owned and operated by across the UK wide estate. This exciting travelling role would be a short-term contract with clear deliverables - i.e. to get Cisco and Meraki infrastructure documented, updated where required and define a replacement plan for devices near to end of their support life.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need -

• Willingness to travel across UK and Wales regularly (clean driving licence essential) for site visits to install / remote install equipment and auditing.
• Cisco switch, router, Meraki WIFI installation, configuration and troubleshooting experience.
• Mitel telephony - account creation and management, fault diagnosis to pass on to 3rd party support, including call recording call recording integration management (Red Box)
• Understanding and management of telephony systems, both on premise and cloud (e.g. Siemens / Unify on Premise, SIP routing and Amazon Connect cloud based telephony)

Project work will involve
- Site setups -
- Design and config of Switch VLANs for various IT systems
- Liaison with project management and various third party project management to assist holistic documentation of the various disparate IT systems used.
- Setup of MPLS network links - liaising with telecoms provider (Talk Talk)
- Installation of telephony systems (Siemens Unify with 3rd party provider, Integral Communications)
- Installation of all Computers, Laptops, Printers and specialist network connected hardware.
