Your new role
As a Senior Network Engineer you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, monitoring, support and development of the organisations network infrastructure for staff, clients and customers.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be experienced in wired and wireless networks, network protocols (including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP), network installation, configuration and performance (including working on switches and firewalls) and remote access technologies alongside understanding the implementation, configuration and use of enterprise anti-virus solutions would be advantageous.
You'll be required to have a knowledge of and experience with numerous technologies across the network infrastructure including; Microsoft Azure, Cisco firewalls, network switches, routers, wireless access points & controllers, Hyper-V networking, LAN cabling, WAN circuits, network security, hyper-converged networking, networking standards & policies, IP addresses and software defined networking.
Along with experience in the above technologies you should have;
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Network Engineer or similar position
- Experience working with WiFi technologies in a previous role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues effectively
- Good problem-solving skills
- The ability to prioritise and organise your workload effectively
