Are you looking for an exciting new challenge in security?  Do you want to lead the direction of our security strategy both internally and for our clients?  Do you want to have a major impact on the growth strategy of an MSP?  Then this is the role for you!  We are looking for a practical and solutions focused Head of Security.  The ideal candidate will have a strategic vision for keeping our clients IT systems secure whilst ensuring we are able to deliver solutions effectively.  You will be able to recruit and develop a team of security professionals to establish Bridge Partners security position within the market.

The Role

You will be responsible for the IT security policy and solutions within our business, including:

  • Strategy: Leading and developing our internal and client IT security strategy.
  • Department: Identifying skills required and building a team to deliver your security strategy
  • Planning: Developing and implementing a solution focused security improvement plan for our internal IT and our client offering.
  • Operational Improvements: Working closely with the Client Support teams to implement security policies, protocols and procedures and making recommendations for improvements.
  • Delivery: Setting up, designing and delivery of client-facing paid for work such as security reviews and security testing.
  • Commercialisation: Setting up and developing a commercially viable department including developing security products and pricing models for our clients and beyond
  • Reporting: Planning internal and client security audits and reporting on the results whilst making practical recommendations for improvements.
  • Compliance: Working closely with the Client Support teams to develop practical solutions so all IT projects are delivered within the security framework.

 

 

What we need from you

  • Previous experience in an IT Security role (or similar).
  • Experience of advising IT project teams in delivering projects within a security framework.
  • Hands-on experience of implementing tools and automation to monitor and control IT security.
  • Knowledge of security risk management, governance and compliance.
  • Previous experience of defining and implementing security strategy and controls and managing vulnerabilities for IT infrastructure and cloud-based services.
  • Experience or knowledge of SIEMS/SOC systems.
  • Crest Accreditation / CISSP or similar is desirable but not essential.
