Hays Technology are recruiting for an IT Specialist to join a growing, dynamic global manufacturing business based in Lichfield due to internal promotions across the wider business.

What you'll be doing:
Reporting into the UK IT Manager your role would be working alongside central and other IT Departments in supporting the IT Function across the business. Your responsibilities will consist of:

• Participate in and manage projects related to local applications, IT infrastructure improvements and changes
• Provide user training for local applications and processes
• Provide technical and functional 2nd level support to users
• Plan and execute IT backup tests
• Ensure operation of data backup system
• Setup and maintain back office systems
• Plan, manage and perform IT system, infrastructure and application changes.
• Ensure the application of Group standards, especially concerning hardware, software, security policies, software licenses control and IT asset management
• Implement, maintain and improve IT monitoring system
• Engage in the continuous improvement activities related to the IT quality management system

What we're looking for:

• Experience with working within a manufacturing or fast paced environment
• Virtualisation experience: VMware
• Experience with Network Infrastructure: LAN/WAN, switches, routers etc.
• Microsoft Server and Office 365 admin exp
• Extensive experience withing troubleshooting of hardware and software issues raised.
• Active Directory Experience.
