Security Operations Lead

This role will deliver the information security plan, risk analysis, risk monitoring, incident registration, information security tools, information security training and evaluation. This role is recognised as the information security and privacy expert by internal and external stakeholders.

Your role
The key accountabilities of this role include:

Security Management

• Information risk analysis, security design and solutions
• Information security assessments, tests, reviews and audits

Security Administration

• Registration, analysis and reporting of information security incidents
• Monitoring and reporting on information security risks
• Information security implementation

Team Management

• Building, recruiting and managing the Information Security and Privacy team
• Directs resource management, with reference to project initiatives and requirements
• Performance measurement and management of the Information Security and Privacy team

Your profile

• At least 5 years of work experience in information security management and/or related functions (such as IT audit and IT Risk Management)
• Information security management qualifications such as CISSP or CISM
• A background in technical IT roles such as IT architecture, development or operations, with a clear and abiding interest in information security
  • Expert skills in security system(s) used on nominated platform(s)
  • Good technical skills (intrusion detection, penetration tasking, firewall configuration) for nominated platform(s)
  • Good knowledge of security risks and preventative controls
  • Good understanding of security operational processes and controls
  • Good project analysis, problem solving, and business relationship skills
  • An understanding of the law as it relates to IT
