Our Swindon based client are recruiting for a Test Engineer on a 12 month contract basis.

Test Engineer - 12 Month Contract - Up to £500 Per Day - Outside IR35

Role Description:


ETL, Web and API testing with a focus on automation techniques to feed into a CI pipeline

To work in a Scrum Project Delivery Team (with 3 other testers) delivering a large Business Intelligence solution (data warehouse using Snowflake).
Performing exploratory and heuristic testing.
Design, document and develop test automation to support continuous integration.
Work side by side with developers, delivering innovative and robust testing activities, with a keen eye for the detail and efficiency.
Ensuring the product works to high-quality standard.


Skills and Experience:


ETL and Data Warehousing test automation (Snowflake, SQL, Kimball, ETL tools and techniques).
Recent working experience of test automation development and several different types of test automation frameworks/tools.
Understanding of, for example: Microservices, REST-based APIs, Docker, Cloud(AWS).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and good critical and lateral thinking skills.
A testers mindset, being curious, creative and thinking out of the box.
Testing of: User Interface, API services, Microstrategy (or similar BI tool), AWS, with a focus on test automation.
Experience of modern testing and development techniques: Shift left testing techniques, TDD, BDD, CI/CD, DevOps.

The position offers a hybrid working pattern which will require 3 days in the office & 2 days working from home.
