Cyber Security Manager vacancy in large public sector organisation
Up to £65,000 - £70,000 per annum plus generous benefits and flexible hybrid WFH policy
Hays Technology are working in partnership with a large public sector organisation in Birmingham to recruit a Cyber Security Manager on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership and effective management of the Cyber Security strategy. You will have ownership and day to day management responsibility over the Cyber Security services and associated policies and processes and manage one direct report.
The Cyber Security Manager will also be responsible for aligning the IT team in accordance with the ISO27001 accreditation, as well as ensuring supporting policies and procedures are updated by the relevant parties to be fit for purpose.
In order to apply, you must have the following skills and experience:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent technical level of expertise demonstrated through significant work experience.
• Hold an Information Security qualification such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or MSc Information Security.
• Working knowledge of security standards and methodologies such as ISO 27001, COBIT, and ITIL.
• In-depth knowledge of hardware and software security technologies.
• Understanding of legislative requirements under General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, The Data Protection Act, 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act, 2000.
• An in-depth knowledge of IT security products, systems and applying security best practice.
• Knowledge and experience across multiple technical platforms.
• Significant experience of managing perimeter security products.
• Significant experience of Managing Penetration tests and remedial plans.
• An understanding of Gaining Security Accreditation for the Business such as Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus.
• Experience of Managing 3rd party suppliers.
• A working knowledge Risk assessment frameworks and mitigation plans.
• Significant experience of developing and maintaining meaningful IT Security KPI's.
• Experience of developing, implementing and reviewing Emergency Response plans to ensure business continuity.
