Hays Technology are working in partnership with a large organisation based in Birmingham to recruit a Cyber Security Analyst on a permanent basis.

The purpose of this role is to for the successful candidate to be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring of services provided to users for all matters relating to cyber security and the security/management of physical devices. This includes monitoring trends, advising and supporting colleagues in cases of attack, breach and threat management. The role extends to the recording, administration and support for processes associated with all commissioned IT Assets across their lifecycle. You will also be responsible for updating policies and procedures, staff training and managing awareness campaigns via liaison with Learning & Development.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Develop & support physical & cyber related processes to ensure IT compliance with policies and standards that govern use of equipment and services. Includes tracking and reporting on access management to ensure protocols are adhered to through due diligence checks.
• To support all processes related to IT Asset Management, stock control & deployment services. Responsible for reporting and tracking using service management tools extending to stock control, equipment issue and returns processes
• Responsible for all related data held in the IT Service Management Tool (currently SysAid) to ensure that it works effectively for the department.
• Facilitate and support alerting in cases of incident.
• Support the maintenance of content on the IT Intranet site, including (but not limited to) posting of news articles, end user self-help, policies and procedures and other content of significance to the IT department.
• Escalate high-profile security issues promptly to the Information Security Manager.
• Carry out regular reviews of all IT processes and procedures to ensure compliance to Audit requirements, including access controls.

If you would like to apply, you must have the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of IT Cyber Security best practice.
• Experience of working with IT Infrastructure e.g: Networks, Incident Management.
• Experience of IT asset management systems, analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of ITIL Service management processes.
