Hays Technology are partnering with a national retail business to grow their IT Team by 2 x Technical Analyst to help support the current IT Function and assist shaping the transformation of IT across the wider business. What we're looking for:
Reporting to the IT Manager you will be responsible for:
- Installation and configuration of Desktop, Laptop, and Server hardware
- Creation of user accounts and setting permissions for new members of staff
- Logging, prioritisation, and resolution of incidents raised with the IT Helpdesk
- Support of Microsoft technologies, including Windows 10, Office 365 and Active Directory
- Carrying out routine patching and maintenance of desktop and server systems
- Providing end user support and training
- Escalating IT issues to 3rd party suppliers
- Working with the IT Manager and other members of the IT team to identify and implement new systems
- Documenting support processes and producing end user documentation
- Configuration and management of server backup systems
- Maintaining hardware asset lists
- Ensuring the availability and security of the IT system
What we're looking for:
- Experience of working on a busy IT Support Desk
- Experience of managing and maintaining Windows servers
- Experience of configuring and supporting Windows PCs and Laptops
- Experience of configuring and maintaining network switches and WiFi access points
- A working knowledge of VMware ESXi or other virtualisation technologies
- Experience of Active Directory administration
- Ability to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure
- Strong problem solving abilities
- Awareness of cyber security threats and IT Security best practice
