Director, Strategy Consulting â€" Aerospace & Defence

Who we’re looking for
Â
•   Experienced strategy consulting Director with extensive industry experience and knowledge within Aerospace & Defence
•   Deep focus on one or more of Growth Strategy, Operating Transformation, Capabilities Development, Strategic Cost Reduction and Digital Disruption.
•   Excellent client handling skills with experience of leading external client projects and/ or large scale strategy and operations change programmes.

About the role

As a Director, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to.
Client Delivery : building productive and lasting client relationships at all levels by identifying and discussing key issues with our clients, in order to identify potential opportunities. Managing and delivering large projects, by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team.
Business Development: proactively leading the practice by setting strategy, driving the development of new business in the market and providing technical advice across disciplines including business strategy, market growth strategy, route to market strategy and operational improvement. Â
Thought Leadership: Thought leader within one of the industry sectors mentioned above, specialising in strategy and operations processes / practices, viewed by clients as an expert who they turn to for help and advice on their most difficult issues. Â
Practice Development: Developing propositions drawn across Strategy& and PwC capabilities.Â
Proactively leading the practice by setting strategy, driving the development of new business in the market, and providing industry and technical advice across disciplines. You will also be involved with recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing mentoring / coaching of our people. Â
The ideal candidate would be interested in either progressing their career to the next level with an aim of becoming a candidate for partnership or a subject matter expert happy to remain in the industrial products & services strategy space.

Essential skills & experience

•  Extensive Aerospace & Defence sector experience in Strategy Consulting, Business/Corporate Strategy or Operations teams.
• Deep focus on one or more of Growth Strategy, Operating Transformation, Capabilities Development, Strategic Cost Reduction and Digital Disruption.
•  Clear record of achievement and progression in a leading consulting firm and potentially also within industry.
•  Excellent client handling skills with experience of leading external client projects and/or large scale strategy and operations change programmes.
•  Intellectually curious, with the ability to demonstrate strong problem solving skills.
•  Significant international experience including Europe, North America, Middle East.
•  Strong change and people leadership skills, a track record of successful change execution and an exemplary track record in providing client satisfaction.
•  A strong team player with empathy, humility and dedication to joint success and shared development.
•  Strong oral and written communication skills with ability and flexibility to operate successfully with employees or colleagues at all levels.Â
•  A highly motivated, self-starter.
•  Educated to post-graduate level in Economics, Mathematics, Business, Science or Engineering.
