Your new role
As a security analyst, you will be taking an active role in the security systems by managing the security tool sets, actively assisting projects with technical security guidance, leading meetings and tracking and progression activities to resolution.

Key Responsibilities in your new role would be:

• Managing, administer and operate specialised security solutions, including Endpoint Protection, Data Encryption and Secure web Gateway.
• Assess technical security risks in terms of impact to systems and confidentiality, integrity & availability.
• Report and escalate results of technical security risks
• Ensure new initiatives that are being developed are designed in a way that aligns with cloud security controls and best practices (AWS/Azure).
• Engage with stakeholders to develop solutions to mitigate cyber security risks to operational assets.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this new role, you would require:

• Minimum of 1 years practical experience in Information Security
• Experience using Windows/Unix systems
• Strong general IT Skills - knowledge of computer networks, operating systems and infrastructure
• Good knowledge and understanding of common security controls, detection capabilities and other practices and solutions for securing digital environments.
• Preferably include an understanding of Operating Systems, TCP & UDP traffic, firewall and proxy, host based protection and monitoring,email, anti-spam and cloud technologies.
