As a Network Engineer you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, monitoring, support and development of the organisations network infrastructure for staff, clients, customers, and guests across all of the UK. You will be expected to contribute to the Infrastructure strategy road map, working with Infrastructure Operations Lead to plan and prioritise networking elements, handle tickets and provide first class technical support to a number of users and stakeholders from across the business. Supporting the cloud infrastructure, monitoring various network devices and working with projects teams will also be key aspects of your role.

You'll be required to have a knowledge of and experience with numerous technologies across the network infrastructure including; Microsoft Azure, Cisco firewalls, network switches, routers, wireless access points & controllers, Hyper-V networking, LAN cabling, WAN circuits, network security, hyper-converged networking, networking standards & policies, IP addresses and software defined networking.

Along with experience in the above technologies you should have;
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a Network Engineer or similar position
  • Experience working with WiFi technologies (preferably Aruba) in a previous role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues effectively
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • The ability to prioritise and organise your workload effectively
