An opportunity has arisen for a Stress Engineer to work within our Engineering Team.
We require experienced individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with our European and Middle Eastern customers.
Principle Duties / Responsibilities
Responsibility for the evaluation of the design of repairs to structural components, creating structural substantiation and ensuring compliance with baseline certification requirements and Airworthiness Authority Regulations
Ideally you should have familiarity with composite materials, repair design practices and procedures and structural substantiation methods (hand and computer based)
Compliance with all UTC policies and regulatory procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and International Trade Compliance requirements
Essential Requirements / Skills / Qualifications
You will also be computer literate with experience of MS Office and ideally MathCAD, FEA and analysis software (e.g. Patran and Nastran)
You will work as part of a multi-discipline team and will take responsibility on projects involving relevant disciplines such as: Static stress analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis, engineering design, and composite materials design/stress analysis.
Experience working within a similar environment with an aeronautical / mechanical engineering background is essential.
