Join BAE Systems as a Technical Tester. We are looking for an individual with strong focus on system and acceptance testing across a range of technologies and applications. The NNCC proposition provides government customers with the ability to monitor their countries' Internet infrastructure for cyber-attacks by using a combination of Applied Intelligence's own high speed network probes and the latest intelligence from our Threat Intelligence team and Internet-scale behavioural analytics.

Responsibilities

• Creation, maintenance, and review of test related artefacts
• Creation of customer facing test artefacts for Acceptance Purposes
• Planning test cycles to align with internal and external project releases
• Execution of test cases
• Troubleshooting issues discovered in test cases and providing initial assessment of the issue
• Participation in requirements testability reviews, design walkthroughs and review of development testing coverage and results.
• Test Metric production and reporting
• Defect Management
• Stakeholder communication and liaison - Working with Developers, Testers, Product Owners, Delivery managers and clients to deliver projects of considerable scale and complexity..
• Manage the use of the test environment to ensure it is fit for purpose.
• Identification of improvements in process and implementation of agreed items
• (At more senior grade) Line management and or career mentor for junior testers
  
  Experience
  

• Ability to test large scale systems and systems of systems
• Functional Testing
• Non Functional Testing (including performance)
• Appreciation of differing test phases and test types
• Effective communications skills (upwards, downwards and external).
• Experience of various troubleshooting techniques
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience of customer facing (acceptance) activities
  
  Desirable
  

• Experience of test automation on a project using Selenium + Java (or similar).
• Experience of web service testing using SOAP UI, Postman or similar.
• Hold a professional qualification in testing, e.g. ISTQB Foundation tests .qualification.
