This role reports directly to the Repairs and Avionics Team Leader and will be part of the Goods Receipt team. This role has no direct reports.
Customers

Internal:
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside the Shop Floor Team Leaders to ensure coordination and actioning of priorities.
  • This role will be working alongside the Accounts Department, to ensure stock transactions are maintained and cycle counts carried out.
External:
  • Working with vendors on the coordination and expedite of work and resolving issues that arise from delivery of stock.
Key Responsibilities
  • Your role is responsible for the smooth flow of parts from Goods In department, being checked in and placing the item in the correct stocking locations.
  • Issuing of materials through the business MRP system, to match with work orders.
  • You will be required to do visual inspection of drawings, as required,
  • You will be responsible for counting and checking paperwork in particular certification of incoming product parts.
  • Activities surrounding the reporting and resolving any discrepancies with the appropriate buyer and or planner.
  • Receipt of purchase orders using the business MRP System.
  • Ensure that you are responsible for the physical inventory accounting and reporting through cycle counting.
  • Maintenance of MRP stock accuracy.
  • Supporting the business in the implementation of continuous improvement and Health and Safety initiatives.
  • Any other reasonable duties.
Hours of Work

39 Hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 07:00 to 16:00
Friday: 07:00
to 12:00 Early finish

Person Requirements

Educational Requirements
  • Minimum of GCSE or Equivalent in Maths and English.
Knowledge / Experience
  • The ideal candidate should be confident in using Microsoft Office functions such Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint (essential).
  • Excellent attention to detail (essential)
  • Ability to work to strict deadline (essential)
  • Previous experience of working in a similar role and for another Aerospace company (desirable)
  • Experience of MRP Systems (desirable)
  • An excellent understanding of Goods receiving and Data entry systems in a stores environment (desirable).
Technical Skills / Competencies

.
  • Fork lift truck / Burden Truck operator- licensed (desirable)
  • Effective communicator at all levels both verbally and written.
  • Manual Handing experience (desirable)
  • Ability to use their own initiative
