Collins Aerospace Systems, part of Raytheon Technologies, is on the lookout for a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyst to join the team in Leighton Buzzard.
- The CFD Analyst position forms part of the global Analysis team, comprising of 50 engineers in varied disciplines, across 5 different sites. The Leighton Buzzard team consists of 15 engineers.
- The CFD Analyst position reports directly to the Stress Engineering Manager
- As part of the Analysis team there are opportunities to learn about different disciplines and develop further in either technical or managerial directions.
Your Responsibilities
- Converting CAD models into CFD ready models
- Running CFD / thermal simulations
- Post-processing of CFD results using ParaView or equivalent GNU tools.
- Preparing relevant CFD reports
- Providing guidance for design and certification engineers to meet requirements
- Undertake self-checking of work produced
- CATIA, NX or Space Claim CAE/CAD software proficiency
- CFD experience, preferred packages Open FOAM, Ansys
- Internal flow testing exposure
- Proven experience in correlation between CFD results and test results
- Linux and HPC exposure
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Good team working and work ethic
- Proficient and willing to learn and develop
