Your new company

Starting out as a manufacturer in the 1980’s and now a world leading supply chain and logistics solutions provider, your new company has a worldwide presence with offices in five countries and due to market growth, a permanent Information Security Engineer is needed in the Romford office.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the IT Security Manager, you will manage the day-to-day activities of threat and vulnerability management, identify risk tolerances, recommend treatment plans, and communicate information about residual risk. While ensuring audit trails, system logs and other monitoring data sources are reviewed periodically and comply with policies and audit requirements, you will also maintain security testing procedures to verify the security of systems, networks, and applications, and manage the remediation of identified risks.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in your new role, as a security expert you will need an understanding of operating system internal and network protocols IPV4/IPV6, SSL and certificate management, experience with vulnerability scanning and penetration testing, and experience with common information security management frameworks such as ISO 27001.
