Private sector organisation with over 35 years experience in their field, are looking to expand their security team and have need for a new Cyber Security Analyst.

Your new role
You will be reporting to Cyber Security Operations Lead, your role is key in monitoring all computer systems connected to the organisations network to ensure security by identifying weaknesses, vulnerabilities and unusual activity. Analysing and assessing alarms, reporting on threats, intrusion attempts and false alarms - by either resolving the issues or escalating them dependant on the severity.

You will also be involved in a wide range of security related activities such as compliance with policies and standards,vulnerability management, monitoring and reporting, risk and threat assessment, incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery, supporting plans to develop and improve Cyber Security within the organisation and compliance with ISO27001, GDPR and other security standards.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 3-4 years practical experience in Information Security or Operational Environment.
• Degree level qualification or equivalent in Cyber Security or Network Administration
• Knowledge of Cyber Security Essentials, ISO27001/22301, Azure
• Hands on approach to work - this is a technical role
• Experience in delivering process improvement for Cyber Operations.
• Proven ability to implement key security operations services and processes.
• Ability to react quickly, decisively and professionally.
• Experience in identifying potential weaknesses, implementing measures to deter threats.
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong IT Skills
• Strong documentation skills for technical and non-technical staff and stakeholders.
• Great Communication and Interpersonal skills with a business sense mind.
