An exciting opportunity for a Cost Reduction Lead has arisen within the High Lift Value Stream in Actuation Systems. The role requires an experienced, high achieving individual reporting to the High Lift Value Stream Director to take responsibility for leading a team of people to achieve the required cost reduction targets set within the Value Stream working within the #SFC0 strategy..

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Effectively working as team member of the IPT (Integrated Project Team) in the Value Stream
  • Define & agree the Cost Reduction Road Map for the Business
  • Responsible for achieving Cost Reduction targets to meet the business case.
  • Define and Implement Cost Reduction opportunities for all Products & Services
  • Analyse and Control Cost of Products and services
  • Report Progress in a timely manner to Cost Reduction Director
  • Be able to report to the WLT and SLT with professional reporting
  • Liaise with all departments.
  • Ensure accurate and reliable financial collection.
  • Ensure reporting information is reliable and on time.
  • Creating, maintaining and effectively communicating project plans
  • Negotiating and acquiring the necessary resources to achieve project deliverables
  • Ensuring compliance to the Programme Management Passport process and Collins Management System Stage Gate Process
  • Be an advocate for, and drive continuous improvement activities utilising the Collins Tier 4 Gemba and ACE / AIM process methodologies
Skills Required:
  • Good organisational and analytical ability including competence with general IT tools (ie MS Office, SAP)
  • Highly skilled communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Commercial and financial acumen
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Strong technical mind set and able to read and interpret technical data and translate to others
  • Highly numerate with the ability to research, assemble, manage and manipulate numerical information
  • Results orientated and organised with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
  • Project Management skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Willing to travel and to work flexible hours to support communication across different time zones
