Hays Technology is looking for a Physical Security Systems Engineer to provide technical and functional support to the safety of our clients physical spaces on a global scale through the physical security operations centre.

What you will be doing: In this newly created position, the successful candidate will be responsible for all day to day support of global physical security operations center (PSOC) which keeps the office buildings, disaster recovery sites, and colocation sites secure.

Who you will be working for: This role is situated within a fast growing team within a global proprietary trading firm with around 1,200 employees. Founded in 1999 they operate across all global markets across several asset classes including Equities, Futures, Commodities, Options, Bonds & Currencies.

What we are looking for:

• 1+ years professional experience in physical security systems including system administration, installation, design, vendor management, and security project management
• Proven ability to monitor access-control and video-monitoring systems successfully and efficiently
• Strong networking knowledge
• Experience in overseeing the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of access-control and video-management systems and overarching security principles
• Familiarity with relevant enterprise platforms such as Genetec, Lenel, Software House, Honeywell, Milestone, and Salient Systems is preferred but not required
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting IP cameras, access-control panels, door hardware, and other relevant equipment
• Reliable, collaborative, and flexible team player with a positive attitude
• Experience supporting a global security operations center (GSOC) environment is helpful
• Electrical engineering or low-voltage systems background a plus
• Fluency in English required
