Our government sector client is looking for an IT Supplier Management Officer to join their team on a Digital Support Services programme.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as the main point of contact within the the company for the end-user computing and o365 service provider.
Work with the end-user computing supplier to roll out o365, SharePoint and Teams.
Coordinate service transition and early life support as the organisation moves from the company to an independent organisation with a separate IT capability.
Provide day-to-day IT and digital service management support and advice to new service users either directly or through third party IT providers.
Begin to develop and maintain the new service self-help technical knowledge base and required IT policies and promote effective use of this resource.
Deliver routine technical administration of platforms, systems and applications. This will include activities associated with managing system access, setting up new users, managing software licences, cyber security, and IT health checks. Liaising with 3rd party suppliers to facilitate these changes as required.
Liaise with third party IT suppliers to resolve day to day system support incidents, and to implement new products and updates with robust testing before roll-out to service users.
Actively monitor third party IT supplier performance against service level agreements and escalate performance issues as necessary. Maintain IT and Digital incidents log. Identify and unblock general IT and Digital issues and risks as they arise and escalate as necessary.
Assist IT users across the system with minor configuration changes such as modifications to the website, Intranet, HR and Payroll service, finance systems and case management systems.
Ensure that all personal data held on systems is gathered and managed in accordance with GDPR legislation and the data management framework.

Skills needed:
  • Must have worked within a government organisation
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint
  • Knowledge of Office 365
  • Be able to provide IT Support help to users
  • Be able to speak to stakeholders
  • Supplier Management experience

In return, you will receive the opportunity to support a major government department, going through large digital transformation. The possibility to work on a 4 month contract on a remote basis for the foreseeable paying up to £450 p/day (in scope of IR35).
