Datacentre Critical Facilities Engineer
A
new opportunity ideally for someone with Datacentre experience working within a Critical Facilities function or experience of working in large business looking after Critical Facilities infrastructure.
Responsibilities
• Perform daily site checks on Critical M&E kit and site
• Document and reports on work completed to ensure compliance with Company and Customer Procedures.
• Carry out onsite electrical general maintenance
• Monitor Building Monitoring system for all site M&E
• General site maintenance - tidying and maintain of site
• Project involvement when required
• General knowledge of Datacentre power, UPS, Generators, CRAC, Breakers, Fuel
• Working with third party M&E vendors - providing site escort duties and over-see work
Ideal Experience/Skills
• Datacentre experience working within a Critical Facilities function/team
• 17th/18th Edition
• City and Guilds 2391 inspection testing
• IOSH management at work
• Building Management system
• Familiar with UPS, Battery, Generators, HV/LV switching, CRAC/Cooling systems, Fire control systems, Water Hygiene
• Microsoft office - Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, teams
• Possible site travel and overnight stay to other UK destinations
• Following Company processes and procedures.
• Writing/Assist of writing procedures
• Reviewing/Approval of RAMS and Work permits
Hours of attendance
Monday to Friday working between 06:00 and 20:00hrs (8-hour shift)
Overtime when required
Provide call-out on a rota-based system - currently 1 in 3 weeks. On-call is providing 24/7, 365 days a year.
