A highly renowned Tech company with offices in Japan, USA and Germany to name just three are looking for an IT Systems Administrator to join their fast growing team. At the very forefront of optical technology, this company operates in various different industries across the globe, including but not limited to Agriculture, Healthcare and Construction.

Your new role

At a very exciting time for t his company, your new role will be to provide day-to-day technical support on network infrastructure and internal systems software and hardware.

• Provide technical support across multiple sites in the UK and Ireland.
• Act as an escalation point for the IT Technician on more complex IT support requests.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations, servers and network issues.
• Manage the configuration and operation of computer operating systems.
• Recommend hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades.
• Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution.
• Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes.
• Develop, implement and maintain SharePoint sites and other shared folder structures within the company, including provided advice and guidance to employees.
• Lead and contribute to the development of IT and infrastructure projects and provide IT expertise on projects external to the IT department.


What you'll need to succeed

• Degree focusing on Software development or other related degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Professional experience in the field of IT application development.
• Experience of implementing, upgrading, configuring and supporting a Windows based platform in a professional setting.
• Strong skills in one or multiples of the following: Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SharePoint Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Manager
• Ability to understand API and SDK specifications quickly.
• Experience in the integration of 3rd party applications and data.
• Experience with distributed software systems (MicroServices).
• Ability to understand API and SDK specifications quickly.
• Knowledge and demonstrable experience of system administration.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and troubleshoot technical problems, make decisions over addressing or escalating (either internally or externally) and ensuring resolution of issue.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate effectively to non-technical people at all levels of the organisation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and working staff at all levels
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and organise own work.
• Language skills English essential, German desirable
