SOC Service Manager - £80,000+

This job will give you a lot of space to build, growth and nurture a variety of service within the security space and participate in advanced projects to detect and respond to advanced challenges the security world of a FS company brings.

A bit about the job:

The job is to be CISO D&R (Detection and Response) service manager for the SOC, incident management, incident response and threat hunting.

The job is to support all the teams with their services, process, and quality.

This involves managing the service catalogue, measuring service quality, and delivering enhancements to process, people and technology to make sure the service is delivered as expected.

Part of the service is to build a maintain a project engagement with all D&R related project, been the central D&R point of contact for all transformation and enhancement projects in Aviva.

There will be occasions that the service lead will work as one of the service owners (Incident management, threat hunting, incident response or GSOC) to cover for absence and to shadow the
operation and enhance the understanding of the work.

A very important part of the work is to connect with the wider Aviva technology teams to be able to work on projects, risk audit and other governance pieces that are related to D&R.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Technical understanding of current cybersecurity threats and trends
  • Good Communication (oral and written), interpersonal, organisational, and presentation skills and leadership skills
  • Service/consulting and sales-oriented mindset
  • Experience with building, managing, enhancing and or advising on security services such as SOC, Incident response, incident management, and threat hunting
  • Experience with security service catalogues and delivering of service: building, maintaining, and enhancing service levels, quality checks and metrics
