What You Will Be Doing

Manage the Product Backlog, ensuring focus on value.
Set goals for the team and accept product features and stories when they are Done.
Engage with many stakeholders across the business and externally, including senior and highly technical staff, to ensure the right focus is being applied to the Product Backlog
Engage with Product Management to align Vision and Product Backlog priorities with strategic investment initiatives
Work as part of the development team to share Product knowhow and collateral
Track product changes through the delivery cycle and gain feedback from customers
Work with customer delivery teams to support existing customers
Champion innovation across the team to solve market business problems
Build knowledge around the Financial Crime business domain and the technology architectures used to support it
Contribute knowledge and learnings to a Practice of Product Owners across the business.

Skills and Experience

Essential:
Experience in gathering, defining and elaborating business requirements and working with technical teams to see them through to being delivered
Clear understanding and experience with Agile/Lean principles and development methods (e.g. Scrum / DSDM / XP / Kanban)
Proven ability to prioritise own activities and those of others
Experience of end to end solution development in a commercial environment
Able to brief up to Executive level with ease

Desirable:
Certified Scrum Product Owner qualifications
Financial Services business or technology experience
Understanding of Software architecture principles, design patterns and non-functional requirements for enterprise technology solutions

Agile tooling (Jira etc)
