Job Details
At BAE Systems Applied Intelligence we develop world-class radio and data systems. We are launching a major new space programme, marrying our existing capabilities with new space technology.
We need skilled, enthusiastic and motivated people at all experience levels from graduate to CTO to deliver these exciting new capabilities. There are opportunities in all relevant engineering and non-engineering disciplines, both for those with space industry experience and those without.
Many roles come with opportunities for remote / hybrid working, working in our offices in Guildford and Great Baddow only when required.
We will provide you with personal development, CPD including support towards professional recognition, industry-leading benefits, and the opportunity to apply cutting-edge technology to interesting problems with the support of our highly-skilled engineering community.
Come and join us for this exciting opportunity to shape and deliver world-class space technologies.
What you will be doing (role duties and responsibilities)
You will be developing cutting-edge production-level AI/ML and data science systems for space. Making use of your extensive experience in AI/ML, you will work with a team of highly-skilled data scientists and image analytics specialists, taking their concept algorithms to production on our space platforms, targeting both space and ground environments. We apply AI/ML and data science to the most complex customer problems, spanning image analysis, radio signal analysis and processing of high-volume unstructured data. Core to our solution is the application of world-class AI/ML and data science to process, fuse and analyse raw data from multiple sensor sources in real time, all in the space environment, to generate actionable insights and intelligence.
You will have responsibility through the full product lifecycle, designing, implementing, optimising, testing and delivering ML/AI designs for satellite processing systems. You will build and maintain development environments and services to support engineering activities at all production stages.
This role is an excellent opportunity to use your knowledge and skills to shape and influence the ground-up development of a large-scale technology stack addressing the most interesting AI/ML challenges.
