A well respected, long standing manufacturing organisation in the Worksop area are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to be their go to IT individual on site as they perform a number of improvement initiatives to modernise their network. The scope of the role is to manage the overall network of the company whilst managing the operational contracts and documentation of the solutions. The position will be a mixture of daily management and project work, led by the European main office.

The company are looking for a self motivating Senior Support individual who is systems focused, with skills around Active Directory and related components, Windows 10, Server 2012, 2016 & Server 2019, virtual environments, specifically VMware, Database technologies - Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Cloud technologies - Azure, Office 365. You should have working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including TCP/IP, Fast Ethernet, RSP, VPNs, 802.1x, etc and have an understanding of backup software/disaster recovery practices. Whilst formal qualifications are not essential, candidates will preferably possess a first degree or equivalent, and/or relevant professional IT qualifications e.g. degree in computer science, CCNE (or equivalent network management experience), Project Management, ITIL, MCSE (Microsoft Certified System Engineer).

This role will can be performed in a hybrid manner once Infrastructure upgrades are complete, however due to its current capabilities this will be primarily operated on site.
