The Role
 
Summary of Role Purpose:
 
This key Business Partner role sits within the Business Support Group (BSG), responsible for a capability / coverage aligned group. The role reports into the Head of Business Support and Deputy Head of Business Support.
As a Business Partner (BP) within BSG, you will be a key member of the team, providing highly effective stakeholder management and regular interaction, to build trusted relationships is vital to the role, along with hosting monthly meetings with HOPOs and COOs to review management and financial information.
The role demands a professional, absolute team player, who has the ability to engage, build trust and network at all levels.
Working with the wider management team to positively adapt to change, with a continual process improvement outlook, the role requires exceptional stakeholder relationship management and therefore highly confident communication and influencing skills are vital.
Supporting the BSG and wider business strategy and having a sound understanding of KPMG to support stakeholder priorities, the role ensures operational excellence is part of day to day working and standards are upheld. Providing opportunies for growth, engagement and collaboration, enabling support staff to flourish and excel in their work.
This is a key Ambassador role within BSG, OEH and KBS.
 
Description of the role
 
Build and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including HOPOs, COOs and Office Senior Partners to ensure that BSG services are meeting business needs
Remain up to date with business priorities and strategy for aligned capability/coverage group, BSG and the firm
Manage resource in line with target operating model, work with senior leaders to anticipate additional resourcing requirements for the business and manage resources to meet these requirements. Aligning staff to business objectives.
Work with, direct and motivate the Performance Managers to achieve the planned goals 
Collaborate with wider BSG BP group to ensure resource is shared
Quarterly review of management information, ensure data is accurate and allocation information is reflective of resource in place
Escalation point for assigned business area - managing escalations through to completion, dealing with queries and questions
Work with Performance Managers, EAs and internal clients on the implementation of enhancing BSG services through the use of ASK when and where required
Establish a strong community to ensure staff are utilised to optimal levels and knowledge sharing is embedded
Finance management - accountability for managing cost centre/s, maintain control of costs for allocated business area ie headcount and budget
Develop strategies and ideas on how processes could be improved
Quality of service - deliver optimum support for the business, ensure there is appropriate resourcing of the right quality for the business and monitor this regularly
Review, measure and ensure continuous improvement of Business Support within KPMG - ensure that options for further quality enhancement which are commercial, are raised with the management team
Enhance staff performance. Performance management of Performance Managers and EAs, including mentoring and coaching as necessary.
Project management - implementing and managing multiple projects and cyclical activities and drive through any initiatives relating to the secretarial and office management staff
Engage with and promote Corportate Responsibility
Support the management of annual salary and bonus review, work closely with BSG PLs, HR and Head of Business Support
Support the Head and Deputy Head of BSG on cyclical PL activities
Oversee recruitment of relevant roles for capability / coverage aligned EAs.
Monitor utilisation and workload and identify need for recruitment or changes to roles and responsibilities where appropriate
Build strong working relationships with wider OEH teams
Encourage self serve through capability/coverage team meetings, utilising reporting available
Identify ways in which to improve efficiency and ensure best practice across the UK and maintain a professional business environment
Managing up to 8 people across the BSG team, including all aspects of Performance Management

Expertise / Technical role requirements
 
Good standard of education - a management degree or qualification would be advantageous
Good knowledge of internal technology and tools i.e. MS Office 365, CRM, Coupa, Skype, Teams, SAP Concur, SAP Success Factors, SAP Finance, NowSpace
Understanding of management and financial information
Ambassador for self-serve technology, role model for sharing information and utilising new technology
Flexibility to travel across UK offices where capability/coverage group resides
