Cyber Security Architect
Permanent
Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 Dependent on location and experience and excellent benefits
Location: Remote with occasional travel.
Your new company
Hays Technology are currently recruiting for an experienced and knowledgeable Cyber Security architect to work with a large logistics organisation. This role can be completed remotely with occasional travel.
Your new role
• You'll need to provide pragmatic security advice in line with the organisation's existing and developing architectural processes to implement your strategies.
• You will align the organisation's security architecture with its wider architectural strategy (solution, technical, data etc.) by advising on a variety of projects from conception to implementation, but from a security perspective, with the end-goal of simultaneously minimising risk and facilitating projects to meet their key outputs.
• You will be a subject matter expert and provide 'go-to' support and leadership in line with the organisation's cyber strategies, risk appetite, and architectural best practices.
• You'll be working with a variety of vendors, suppliers and across the wider business to develop the technologies and security processes needed to aid architectural maturity.
• Stakeholder management and engagement skills at all levels across the business are imperative. You'll need to be able to communicate effectively with a non-technical lexicon to influence strategy understanding among non-technical employees, whilst also being able to use your knowledge to influence senior IT staff with potentially competing architectural agendas.
• You'll perform threat modelling and impact assessments to scope and pre-empt risk whilst offering solutions in the form of playbooks and disaster plans where required.
What you'll need to succeed
• You will be a self-starter, with the inbuilt curiosity to allow you to understand the organisation's business plans, alongside a proven technical and architectural knowledge to align these plans with an appropriate architectural security strategy.
• Proven experience as a security architect in large, complex organisations
• You'll need a high-level understanding and experience of Cyber Security architectural principles and practices
• Comfortable working at the highest levels of the business and proven experience engaging with the IT staff within it.
• Proven experience communicating, managing expectations and reporting to a C-Suite level
• Experience of vendor relationship management, service management, contract and asset management
• Ability to form strong working relationships with internal and external staff
• Evidence of continuous professional development in the Cyber Security field, i.e. industry qualifications
What you'll get in return
In addition to a competitive salary of between £80,000 to £100,000 dependent on experience and location, you can look forward to the following benefits:
• £5,000 car allowance
• 18% Bonus
• Individual private healthcare
